I will start my App Alert column with an app that is set to change how we sell things online, backed by Naspers (who also own OLX), Letgo is a fun way to get rid of your unwanted stuff. I first saw this app last week but didn’t make sense of it, so I decided to download it after seeing this funny ad.
The app shows ads from people around your neighborhood, you can make an offer and chat with the seller. I like how fluid and easy going the app is, well you still find those people who just post a picture without any description of the item their selling and with only 1 picture taken at low light and its grainy. I haven’t bought anything from it yet, but I did browse a few times and had the chance to see people who live around me (hope I am not sounding creepy).
Check out a few screen shots of the app I took from their local website. Please don’t hesitate to share your experiences with the app, by the way… pop in the help section, under FAQ to see items that are not allowed to be sold using the app.
